A network of dance contacts and events throughout the golden state, The California Dance Network (CADN) is a project of Dancers' Group in partnership with five other dance service organizations throughout California. Funded by the California Arts Council, the CADN works to build an infrastructure of support for dance across the state. Member organizations include the Alliance for California Traditional Arts, California Dance Education Association, Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles, Santa Barbara Dance Alliance, World Arts West, and Dancers' Group. An extension of Dancers' Group's mission to consolidate dance knowledge and resources for greater public access, the CADN: Enables the partner organizations to share information about management, programming and community outreach at the regional level Connects dance students, instructors, companies, choreographers and audiences among the regions Mobilizes the community to advocate for increased public participation and funding for dance Shares information with state officials, the California Arts Council, the California Travel & Tourism Commission, and the public at large about the scope, strength and vitality of dance in California To view dance events across the state, search contacts, or list your information, visit www.californiadancenetwork.org.
