14 week fall internship from Sep 13-Dec 15, 2010 Dancers' Group is an artist-driven, nationally recognized, non-profit organization based in San Francisco promoting the visibility and viability of dance in the Bay Area. We serve artists, the dance community and audiences through programs and services that are as collaborative and innovative as the creative process. Dancers' Group offers a supportive and creative work environment and interns gain hands-on work experience, make valuable contacts and learn more about the SF Bay Area's diverse dance community. Those interested should have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently, and a passion for Dancers' Group's work. Interns are expected to work an average of 10 hours per week from Sep 13 through Dec 15. Interns will be involved with all of our public programming: 2nd Sundays, Dance Discourse Project and the new Rotunda Dance Series. In addition, interns will be assisting with the launch of Bay Area Performing Arts Spaces, a searchable online database of dance spaces throughout the Bay Area.
